Exmoor National Park is renowned for its stunning riding country with over 300 miles of quiet bridleways and open moorland for riders of all abilities.

Westerclose is centrally located and enjoys some of the very best riding on Exmoor directly from our yard.

We have up to 6 large stables with well fenced and maintained turnout paddocks available on a DIY livery basis for those bringing their own horses on holiday. Availability of turnout/grazing will be determined by time of year and weather.

Bedding (wheat straw or shavings on rubber matting or concrete flooring) and hay or haylage can be provided at cost, paid for in advance. We need a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for us to arrange payment to, and delivery from, our suppliers.

Mucking out equipment, water buckets and haynets are provided and we have a spacious yard for lorries and trailers to park and turn.

 We charge £12/night per horse or pony (stabled or turned out).

If you are planning to bring your horses on holiday to Westerclose, please contact us before booking your accommodation to ensure we have stabling/grazing available for your preferred holiday dates.

Alternatively, horses and ponies can be hired locally by the hour or day – we are happy to advise on suitable local stables.
