Our dog-friendly cottages have enclosed lawned gardens and are “dog-proof”. Each has direct access into a further large lawn/paddock with a pathway leading into Kitridge Lane with off-road footpaths or down to the village.
As we have free range chickens and ducks, also sheep and horses, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst walking to and from your cottage. Dogs must not be left unattended in cottages – if you’re unable to take your dog with you when you’re going out, we’re happy to discuss alternative arrangements (such as on-site kennels, dog-cages, dog-sitting etc) by prior arrangement.
We have a supply of dog towels (if you need extra) and a washing down area close to the cottages. Also a drying room to hang out wet towels to dry!
We provide dog gates for use between rooms in your cottage doorways and stair-gates where relevant.
We make a weekly charge of £15 per dog.
We have up to 6 large stables plus well fenced and maintained turnout paddocks available on a DIY livery basis for those who want to bring their own horses on holiday. There is excellent hacking directly from our yard over both open moorland and numerous bridlepaths.
Bedding and hay or haylage is available at cost by prior arrangement.
We charge £10/night per horse (stabled or turned out).
Alternatively, horses and ponies can be hired locally by the hour or day – we are happy to advise on suitable local stables.
You are welcome to bring other small family pets if you wish to – please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements.
